Tompkins County Public Library will host a discussion of “The Beginning of Everything,” during the upcoming meeting of its Young Adult Book Club, a monthly book discussion group for middle and high school students, Wednesday, November 9 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Thaler/Howell Programming Room.
Written by Robyn Schneider, “The Beginning of Everything” is a
witty and heart-wrenching teen novel that will appeal to fans of books by John
Green and Ned Vizzini, novels such as “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” and
classics like “The Great Gatsby” and “The Catcher in the Rye.”
Varsity
tennis captain, Ezra Faulkner, was supposed to be homecoming king, but that was
before - before his girlfriend cheated on him, before a car accident shattered
his leg, and before he fell in love with unpredictable new girl, Cassidy
Thorpe.
Free copies of the book are available at the Youth Services
Reference Desk.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
For more information, contact Teen Services Librarian Regina
DeMauro at (607) 272-4557 extension 274 or rdemauro@tcpl.org.
This program has been made possible by the Tompkins County Public
Library Foundation through funding from the Phyllis and Charles Brodhead
Memorial Endowed Fund.
