Tompkins
County Public Library will launch “World Cinema Thursdays,” a monthly opportunity
for film lovers to watch and discuss world cinema classics, March 16 at 2 p.m.
in the BorgWarner Community Room-East.
Facilitated
by Ron Krieg, these free programs will be held on the third Thursday of each
month through December 2017, beginning with a screening of Cabeza de Vaca
directed by Nicolas Echevarria.
Krieg,
a Queens native, is a retired United States Postal Service clerk and a cinema,
photography, history and political science enthusiast. He has been presenting
films at Lifelong of Ithaca for six years.
