Library Announces Saturday Movie Matinees

Tompkins County Public Library will host Saturday Movie Matinees, weekly screenings of popular films and cult classics, Saturdays through August 23 at 2 p.m. in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room.

Saturday Movie Matinees begin August 2 with “This is the End,” a raucous and raunchy film written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

On August 9, horror fans will be delightfully terrified by Dario Argento’s 1977 classic, “Suspiria.”

August 16 will offer “X-Files” fans an opportunity to reconnect with agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully during a screening of
“X Files:  Fight the Future.”

The final Saturday Movie Matinee, August 23, will offer a look at Wes Anderson’s heralded and engaging film “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Library movie screenings are free and intended for adult audiences.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks.
