Library to Host Dog-Themed Storytime




Tompkins County Public Library, in partnership with Ithaca College and Cornell Companions, will host “Puppy Tales,” a special, dog-themed storytime, April 18 at 2 p.m. in the Library’s Thaler/Howell Programming Room.

This fun-filled program will feature visits from reading therapy dogs, courtesy of Cornell Companions, dog-themed crafts and snacks.  Children of all ages and their families are welcome.

Junior Library Advisory Council to Host “Teen Meet-Up"





Tompkins County Public Library’s Junior Library Advisory Council (JLAC) will host a free, “Teen Meet-Up” for middle and high school students April 1 at 2 p.m. in the Thaler/Howell Programming Room.

Being held in place of JLAC’s regularly monthly meeting, this program will offer opportunities for participants to select the activities they are most interested in.  Attendees can choose to watch movies, complete crafts, play board or video games or just explore the Library.

This program is free; snacks and supplies will be provided.

Library to Host Dance Party Storytime



Children of all ages and their families are invited to wiggle, hop and shake at Tompkins County Public Library’s “Dance Party Storytime,” April 1 at 11 a.m. in the Thaler/Howell Programming Room.

This free program is open to children of all ages and abilities and will include stories, songs and lots of movement. Refreshments will be served. No registration is required.

“Dance Party Storytime” has been made possible by the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation through a grant from Elmira Savings Bank.
