Tompkins
County Public Library will host Saturday Movie Matinees, weekly screenings of
popular films and cult classics, Saturdays through August 23 at 2 p.m. in the
Library’s BorgWarner Community Room.
Saturday
Movie Matinees begin August 2 with “This is the End,” a raucous and raunchy
film written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
On
August 9, horror fans will be delightfully terrified by Dario Argento’s 1977
classic, “Suspiria.”
August
16 will offer “X-Files” fans an opportunity to reconnect with agents Fox Mulder
and Dana Scully during a screening of
“X Files: Fight the Future.”
“X Files: Fight the Future.”
The
final Saturday Movie Matinee, August 23, will offer a look at Wes Anderson’s
heralded and engaging film “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”
Library
movie screenings are free and intended for adult audiences. Attendees are
encouraged to bring their own snacks.
