Tompkins County Public Library, with support from Islamic Community Outreach Services and the Greater Ithaca Activities Center, has announced “Ordinary People: Stories and Treasures,” an exhibit highlighting the cultural experiences of the local Muslim community.
Through family stories and heirlooms, “Ordinary People: Stories
and Treasures” shares the values and struggles of Tompkins County residents who
identify as Muslim and offers insight into the shared experiences that help
bridge religious and cultural differences.
The exhibit will be on display in the Library’s Avenue of the
Friends through April 22.
For more information, contact the Library’s Exhibit Coordinator,
Sally Grubb, at sgrubb@tcpl.org or (607) 272-4557 extension 232.
