Tompkins County Public Library will host “Forgiveness and Healing: A Way to Regain Well-Being,” a workshop by filmmaker Mara Alper, Tuesday, January 17 at 1 p.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room.
During
this free program, participants will explore strategies for self-forgiveness
and forgiving others as a tool for personal health and emotional healing.
Alper,
an associate professor of Media Arts and Ithaca College, has been recognized
nationally and internationally for her films, “Forgiveness: A Healing
Documentary” and “Stories No One Wants to Hear,” which borrow from her personal
experiences with forgiveness in order to inspire others to let go in order to
heal.
