Library to Host “Minecraft” Author

Tompkins County Public Library will host Sean Fay Wolfe, author of the popular unofficial Minecraft-fan adventure series, “The Elementia Chronicles,” Friday, July 14 at 11 a.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room.

Perfect for “Minecraft” fans ages 8 through 12, this free program will include a discussion of Wolfe’s latest book, “The Elementia Chronicles Book Three: Herobrine’s Message” and an illustrated presentation of some of his favorite work.

Wolfe is an inspiring speaker with an uncanny knack for connecting with young audiences. He taught himself to program in the Scratch programming environment at just 13 years old, and started writing his Minecraft series while he was still in high school. Wolfe is currently a student at the University of Rhode Island.

The first 30 children at Wolfe’s TCPL program will receive a free autographed copy of one of his books.

For more information, contact the Library’s Youth Services Department at (607) 272-4557 extension 275.

This program was made possible by the Finger Lakes Library System through the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
