Tompkins County Public Library
is seeking community participation for “Diary of a Library: A Community
Card Catalog of Pictures, Memories and Stories,” an art exhibit being planned
in conjunction with the Library’s 150th anniversary.
April 2014 will mark 150 years since the Cornell Public Library was chartered, and in celebration of this momentous occasion, TCPL has invited artist and former Library Trustee Barbara Page to curate a 15-drawer card catalog exhibit telling the library’s story in words and pictures. The exhibit will feature drawings, stories, photographs and library history submitted by Library patrons and friends on 3” x 5” library card catalog cards.

with submissions on a variety of topics, including: history of the Library,
children at the Library, favorite books, favorite films and music, the future
of the Library, artists’ books (artists are invited to create a 3 by 5-inch art
book), Library stories, volunteers at the Library and art at the Library.
