Graphic novel and comic enthusiasts in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join Tompkins County Public Library and artist Steve Ellis for a free workshop on comic book art and creation,Tuesday, March 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Library’s Thaler/Howell Programming Room.
Being
held in celebration of the March 8 release of “The Only Living Boy,” a young
adult graphic novel created by Ellis and David Gallaher, this program will
include ideas, inspiration and practical advice for budding comic book creators.
Ellis,
a recipient of the Harvey Award for achievement in comics, will sign copies of
the book, which will be available for purchase at the event courtesy of Buffalo
Street Books.
