Library to Offer Sex Education and Communication Strategies for Parents


Tompkins County Public Library, in partnership with The Advocacy Center and Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes will present “Let’s Talk About ‘The Talk,’” a free program for parents of children of all ages, Monday, October 24 at 7 p.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room.

This program will offer information about sex, sexuality, abuse prevention and healthy communication strategies for talking to children and teens about issues related to sexual health.

Parents of young children will learn about safety, abuse prevention and appropriate touch.  While parents and caregivers of teens will discuss tools for talking about sex, safe sex, consent, and dating violence.
