Library Services to be Suspended at 5 p.m. Friday

Tompkins County Public Library will close its service desks and public computer stations at 5 p.m., Friday, October 13, to allow for the unveiling of its new teen center and digital lab and community celebration of Director Susan Currie’s retirement.

Public services will resume at 9:30 a.m. Saturday; however, the public is encouraged to visit the Library between 5 and 7 p.m., Friday for a first look at the exciting renovations made possible by the 21st Century Library Campaign and to recognize Currie for her contributions to TCPL.

This celebration is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and several hands-on activities, including 3-D pen crafts, demonstrations of new state-of-the-art sound equipment, a photo booth and button-making will be offered.
