Library to Host Writing Workshop Inspired by The Wallace Collection


Tompkins County Public Library will host London author and arts educator Lynda Waterhouse for an evening of art and writing, Monday, October 24 at 6 p.m. in the Thaler/Howell Programming Room.

Waterhouse will share slides from featuring works included in The Wallace Collection and guide--with help from local children’s author Anne Mazer--participants through a series of writing exercises. 

Based in London, The Wallace Collection is a national museum which houses art collected by the four Marquesses of Hertford during and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess, during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Waterhouse is an author and educator and teaches regular creative writing workshops for all ages at The Wallace Collection.

This program is free and open to the public.  Advance registration is appreciated but not required.  Participants should bring a pen/pencil and paper.
