In celebration of the conclusion of “Build A Better World,”
the Tompkins County Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program, the Library
will host “Home Remedies and Emergency Care, Part Two,” an informative program
and demonstration on how to use everyday items to heal and improve health,
Tuesday, August 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room-West.
Facilitated by Jacquelyn Blizzard, co-director of the Eastman Hill
Health and Training Center and local natural health instructor, this program is
the second in a two-part wellness series being held at the Library this summer.
Blizzard will provide tips for curing and minimizing the symptoms of common
ailments and injuries--like using an onion to cure congestion and potatoes for
pain relief.
Participants need not have attended the first meeting to enjoy
this session.
“Home
Remedies and Emergency Care” is free and open to the public. Registration is
suggested but not required. To register, contact Teresa Vadakin at tvadakin@tcpl.org.
