Tompkins County Public Library, in celebration of Summer Reading 2017, will host a live animal program featuring the winged, furry and slithery residents of Cayuga Nature Center, Friday July 28 at 11 a.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room.
Children
ages 5 and up and their families are invited to learn about Cayuga Nature
Center’s animal friends with this fun-filled annual favorite. The Nature Center
houses a fascinating assortment of animals, from snakes and reptiles to flying
squirrels, birds, and even a chinchilla.
This
program is free. No registration is required. For more information, contact the
Library’s Youth Services Department at (607) 272-4557 extension 275.
This
event is being held in conjunction with “Build a Better World,” TCPL’s 2017
Summer Reading Program, which features opportunities for children from
pre-readers to age 18 to earn books and prizes by reading, sharing and tracking
the books they read. For more information about any of the Library’s summer
reading offerings, visit http://tcpl.org/kids/programs.php.
The
Summer Reading Program is made possible by the Tompkins County Public Library
Foundation with support from the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund of
the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
