Tompkins County Public Library will celebrate the much-anticipated release of “A Hundred Thousand Worlds” in paperback with a reading and discussion by acclaimed local author Bob Proehl, Thursday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room-East.
A
tribute to the fierce and complicated love between a mother and son, entrenched
with the pleasures and perils of geek fandom, “A Hundred Thousand Worlds”
received national acclaim and helped to solidify Proehl’s spot on the
writers-to-watch list.
Proehl
has worked as a bookseller and programming director for Buffalo Street Books
and as a columnist for the arts and culture website, popmatters.com. He was the
New York Foundation for the Arts 2012 Fellow in Fiction and lives in Ithaca
with his wife and children.
This
program is free and open to the public and will include a question and answer
session.
