Library to Host Gaming Workshops for Teens

Registration is now open for Tompkins County Public Library’s “Build a Better World Fantasy Gaming Intensive,” a fun-filled opportunity for teens interested in role-playing games, LARPing and fantasy writing to tap into their creativity and learn new skills.

Designed for students ages 13 through 18, this four-day workshop series will be held Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room. Filled with writing, gaming, three-dimensional design and crafting, each session will include writing exercises and prompts designed to help participants create their own world and incorporate their creations into some of their favorite RPG platforms.

This series is free and being held in conjunction with TCPL’s “Build a Better World Teen Summer Reading Program.” Space is limited and registration required. Participants should be able to write for extended periods of time. To register, visit http://www.libraryinsight.com/EventSignUp.asp?t=6931200&jx=nnv&lmx=%C7ge%2D%AC%A9.
