Tompkins County Public Library will host a free screening of “The Lost City of Z,” Saturday, July 15 at 2 p.m. in the BorgWarner Community Room.
Based on the novel by David Grann, Director James Gray brings life
to “The Lost City of Z,” which follows British explorer Percy Fawcett as he
journeys to the Amazon and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced
civilization. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment, which
views indigenous populations as savages, Fawcett pushes on, determined to prove
his case and uncover the rainforest’s lost history.
This screening is free and intended for an adult audience. For
more information, contact Tom Burns at tburns@tcpl.org.
